Comic-Con Is An Animal Crossing Street Pass Wonderland

Oh you beautiful green light, how I’ve missed you. During the chaos of Comic Con 2013 preview night, I nearly didn’t remember to turn on my 3DS to reap the bounty of a large gathering of video game-friend geeks. I was on my last half hour on the show floor when I finally pulled my XL out of my backpack and flipped it on.

I had 20 of 20 allowable Animal Crossing: New Leaf street passes in no time flat. This beats my previous record by *does some complicated math* 20.

I was hoping to maybe exchange my Shin Megami Tensei IV pixie with some folks, but the game only came out this week, and people travelling from all over the country to this bastion of all things good probably had other things on their mind than getting to the point in the game where Street Pass functionality is activated.

I did, however, get a single Style Savvy: Trendsetters hit. That was probably Polygon’s Michael McWhertor.

If you’re at Comic-Con this year and you have your 3DS, remember to clear out your notifications often, because this show is loaded with folks ready and willing to take you inside of their handheld.
