Bruce Lee’s been in video games before. But his latest appearance as a playable character — in EA’s upcoming UFC game — just feels weird.
When the legendary martial artist’s likeness showed up in other games with more fantastical premises, the make-believe element made things feel less bizarre. However, his presence in the EA UFC game comes across as particularly disturbing, because you’re pitting a dead guy against people who are still alive. And, of course, you’ll want Bruce to win every fight. Anything else will seem like sacrilege. The game’s out next week if you want to see which currently-living MMA fighter can take out the Dragon.

If this is weird then WWE All Stars must really weird you out. 😉
Can’t wait until they include Scorpion and Bruce Campbell.
I also really like how my comments need to be moderated every time 🙂
i just don’t understand why people would pay $ for this…
Because of the age old argument any martial arts fan have at some stage – “would Bruce Lee beat….”
I don’t see what’s weird about it. It’s a fitting tribute.
If you understand MODERN martial arts, you’ll know that Bruce Lee’s philosophies and influences have contributed to them.
It will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the other fighters in the game (maybe that will be wierd, seeing Lee using Jiu Jitsu moves that he had no idea existed). They’d have to be exaggerated I think as while Lee was good for his time, martial arts has evolved so much since then that he would get destroyed if he was in his prime, going up against the fighters that are around today.
