Aussie Nintendo Store: Guybrush Gets Executed

A good assortment of games again this week, no Excitebike still – looks like you might have to wait until Christmas for that one. But less whining about that, more looking at what we do get today.

Three games are up this week for WiiWare, first with Pallurikio at a heavy 1000 points. The game is a 2D platformer with physics puzzles that has you point at the screen to guide your Pallurikio through 50 levels. Like with most WiiWare titles no one has ever played it so we don’t know how good it is. The next game comes from good ilk; Rubik’s Puzzle Galaxy is developed by Two Tribes, the developers of Toki Tori which was released all the way back near the launch of the WiiWare service. Rubik’s however is nothing like their previous games. For 600 points you get 70 levels in a new 3D puzzle game which has you herding coloured cubes to an exit point using all manner of tools. Also along with the main game is the ye olde Rubik’s Cube gameplay. Two players can also attempt this and there is even leader boards and tournaments included. Not bad for it’s cheap price point. Rounding up WiiWare is episode four of the Tales of Monkey Island series. The penultimate episode of the series will set you back 1000 points.

DSiWare offers two titles this week, first up the profane Gordan Ramsey in Hell’s Kitchen VS. Sadly it’s not a brawler featuring Ramsey swearing as he beats up other chefs but instead an ‘arcade-style’ kitchen challenge as your judged by the man himself. PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff has you and your aristocratic buddles squaring off in a game of strategy and deceit in this little known card game.

The sole Virtual Console game this week is Alex Kidd in Shinobi World from the Master System. A parody of the game Shinobi which, you guessed it, has you playing as Alex Kidd. This one is only 500 points.

WiiWare:
-Pallurikio (1000 points – Playstos)
-Rubik’s Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH (600 points – Two Tribes)
-Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 4 – The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood (1000 points -Telltale)

DSiWare:
-Hell’s Kitchen VS. (800 points – Ludia Inc.)
-PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff (500 points – Nintendo)

Virtual Console:
-Alex Kidd in Shinobi World (Master System – 500 points, Sega)
