New Gears Of War 3 Release Date Makes Room For Halo?

Gears of War 3 will be released on September 20, according to an Associated Press report. The game used to be scheduled for the (northern) spring but had been bumped back to late 2011. At the time, Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games tweeted about a Gears delay to September, but quickly deleted the tweet and changed his wording to “holiday”.

A September release takes up the traditional Xbox 360 Halo release spot, opening Gears’ standard November timeframe for the rumoured Halo remake. The original Halo: Combat Evolved was released on November 15, 2001, for the first Xbox, and one of the more popular theories in the gaming press now is that a remake would be issued for the Xbox 360 on the 10th anniversary. That would be November 15, 2011. We have no confirmation but will paying as close attention as many of you probably will.
