You’ll be asked to join in and review the pioneering new Android smartphone: the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY,. This isn’t just a try before you buy experience, you’ll be competing against the other nine PLAYers in the competition for a chance to win the handset for yourself.
The PLAY, due to hit stores by June, is the world’s first PlayStation certified smartphone. It comes equipped with everything you’d expect from a regular gaming controller. The PlayStation icons: circle, square, triangle and X. The D-Pad, shoulder buttons and two analogue touch pads make the games as easy to play as on your console.
The Android Gingerbread 2.3 is the latest from Google, and coupled with the power of a 1 GHz processor, you’re not missing out on performance. When all this comes together and is displayed on a 4-inch multi-touch screen, the daily commute is something to look forward to.
Sony Ericsson have collaborated with EA (The Sims, FIFA), Gameloft (Assassins Creed) and GLU (Guitar Hero) amongst others. This means you’ll have access to these popular games, plus many more available on the Android market.
This competition is your chance to compete against the other PLAYers to see who comes out on top.
The competition features much more than just the high-score game-off between competitors though. That means you don’t even need to be an avid gamer to join in. Sony Ericsson are looking for the most entertaining responses, reviews and experiences of the Xperia™ PLAY that you can share via your blog, Facebook and Twitter.
You’ll need to share your experiences with the Xperia™ PLAY by creating entertaining content that attracts comments, clicks, shares and retweets.
The competition will utilise the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY’s specific gaming functions for head-to-head game battles., Sony Ericsson will challenge you to put the smartphone through its paces, on the Optus Network. You’ll have to be at your imaginative best while using the PLAY’s camera, and feel comfortable interacting with the people most interested in your PLAY.
