Luigi's Mansion 2 Proves The 3DS Can Handle Sequels To GameCube Games

I tried very hard to be spooked out by the ghosts of Luigi's Mansion 2, since the game looks really so nice and smooth - especially given that the game is so early in development. Unfortunately, it just wasn't happening. The new gyroscopic camera, however, seemed to be a great intuitive new feature.

Luigi's Mansion 2 won't be around until 2012, so keep your eyes peeled.

I jumped for joy upon seeing the first glimpse of this! Loved the GCN original, & will be getting this day one. So glad I own my 3DS already, gonna be an expensive 2nd half!!

Can't wait to play another game in the shoes of plumber in his brother's shadow.

Personally, I always played as Luigi on the SNES.

I must admit that I thought this game would be rubbish. However, I played this for a couple of minutes today, and was surprised to find myself enjoying it.

I've never played the original, so I can't offer comparison. I also wasn't really sure what I was up to, since I grabbed the 3DS off of someone else, and had to figure out the controls and goals on the fly. But it was fairly intuitive, and I made do.

The game had a great look and style, and ran very smoothly. And catching ghosts turned out to be a lot of fun. I'll probably end up buying it.

Yes. And a Rogue Squadron 3DS game would complete the circle. Except those fools at Factor 5 made Lair which bankrupted them. Shame.

Game looks great. Not sure I like Luigi's character model. Something wrong about his face. Still early development though...
