How Three Genesis-Era Sonic Levels Look In Generations

Remember the Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and Sky Sanctuary zones from the Genesis-era Sonic the Hedgehog games? This is what they look like with a Sonic Generations makeover. Do you like what you see?

I'm definitely digging the new life Sega is bringing to these iconic levels from the good old days. Seeing those familiar landmarks and patterns should certainly help ease old-school Sonic fans into the 3D environments. Some may cry blasphemy, but it's not like they've gone and killed every virtual and physical copy of the originals. They're still right there if we need them.

Now let's flatten some more Sonic Adventure levels!

Is it blasphemy to say I think the modern version of Sky Sanctuary looks really good.

    I'm so glad I've already pre-ordered this.

Its good to see Sonic Team get back on track . Im def. looking forward to this game

Oh shit! The music started and now I need to change my pants.

When it was first announced that they would be turning Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 stages into Unleashed/Colours levels, I was ready to ragequit the entire franchise.

    I'm slightly more optimistic now.

I'm digging the remixed Sky Sanctuary theme, I'm still hesitant about the game, but I'd certainly love to pick up the soundtrack.

Now I'm all nostalgia'd up about Sonic... Whatever happened to that *good* Sonic cartoon? Is that on DVD?

I think it's the one people call 'Sonic AM' now or something...

If you're talking about the one featuring the Freedom Fighters, SatAM is the one you're looking for (although it is actually just called Sonic the Hedgehog; SatAM is a fan nickname as the show tended to air on saturdays, and it helped determine between it and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog in conversation). Shout! Factory has both seasons in a collection. http://www.shoutfactorystore.com/prod.aspx?pfid=2735545

        Sweet! :) Thanks

I did a quick google search and came up with the Sonic AM(SatAM) name because it seemed to be describing what I remembered the show to be.

And yeah, they were living in the forest and were freedom fighters while Robotnik ruled some kind of tech-city thing... It was awesome. Also, Chili-dogs.

I gotta get me some of those dvds.
