Insert Coins Back In May For Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Launch Party

Everyone’s favourite evening of games, music, graffiti and alcoholic milkshakes is back at the Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney on May 17. You’ll be able to play the final build of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier over multiple screens, a week before its release. Plus: retro games and foot-long hotdogs!

The cover charge remains 10 bucks, and you could win Ubisoft schwag if you’re keen enough to go into military gear. Actually, the most popular cosplayer (in any theme) will win free entry for themselves and four friends into the next Insert Coins event.

  • I went to the February IC, and had a mostly decent time. It was super crowded and sweaty up in there, especially if you were waiting around to get onto one of the MAME cabinets. Seems like more people were interested in getting wasted and playing fighting games than checking out The Darkness II, but I can see the appeal.

  • I’d enjoy these more if they had a larger venue. It’s wayyy too crowded with people/machines considering square footage. It’s too large and not enough seats to be a bar, but too small to be a club. Go with a bunch of friends, but don’t expect to meet too many new people, you’d have to shout over each other.
