Sign Up For PlayStation Plus, Get A Whole Game Collection For Free

Well, not really for free. You still need to shell out less than $US5 a month to become a PlayStation Plus member. But once you do, you'll get your own library of games.

Starting today, PlayStation Plus members automatically get the following games: Virtua Fighter 5, inFAMOUS 2, Little Big Planet 2, Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Just Cause 2, Saints Row 2, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Hard Corp: Uprising, Choplifter HD, Zombie Apocalypse Never Die Alone, and Sideway NY.

The offer is a big change for the service, and PlayStation Plus members still get an array of online perks, like priority beta access and game discounts. This also comes hot on the heels of PlayStation Plus members getting half-price complete editions of major games.

    Is this also for Australia?

      Different games, but still awesome...

thats europe. The AU blog doesnt say anything about it and the AU PSN doesnt have anything either. I assume this will be remedied soon..?

The Aus store IS the European store with some content blocked.

What AU Blog? As Doc What mentioned, the EU Blog accounts for AU also, unless they specify otherwise, the link I also posted also contains the following under the Blog Header

Countries: AE, AU, GB, IE, NZ

I take it that this is the same 'FREE!!!! Just so long as your membership continues' deal that PS+ has had in the past

can you join for 1 month, and download all the games for $5?

No... Min is a 90 day sub which is ~$20AU, if the subscription lapses, then so does your access to the games until you re-sub.

It's....actually a pretty good deal. If you just got a PS3, then for a few bucks a month you can essentially rent a (rotating) list of games.
It's not for me (I like to horde my games, not rent/trade) but as far as these things go, it's pretty decent.

Of course, to get the optimum value, you'll have to move your rotation along pretty fast and finish them all quickly.

I've seen this before. It happened in the US with Netflix DVDs, and here with Bigpond Movies DVDs. You accidentally put some really artistic-looking documentary on your list with the intention of being more well-rounded, but you never actually feel like watching it, but rather than SEND IT BACK and admit defeat, you procrastinate and before you know it you're paying twenty bucks a month for the privilege of helping Bigpond store one of their DVDs in your home!

So i cant see any free games on my store...and im PS+

Are you on the Aussie PSN store?

Never mind I found the answer... For Aussies it starts 7th June as per playstaions own website:
