The OzHadou Nationals Will Dragon Punch You In The Face

OzHadou, Australia's premier fighting game community, is running another of its humdinging tournaments in February. Consider yourself nifty with an arcade stick? Just like to watch the world's best beat the crap out of each other in a virtual environment? You best head down to Sydney for the OzHadou Nationals son!

The event itself kicks of on February 22 and runs through to the 24th with up to $5000 of prizes for folks who happen to be handy at Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown and King of Fighters XIII. Apparently many other games and side tournaments are yet to be announced.

The event takes place at The Red Room in Sydney and players have until February 18 to pre-register for the tournament. For some unknown reason I've never actually made to an OzHadou event — a failing I hope to rectify soon — but I've heard good things about comp. You should definitely make efforts to check it out.

My face!! It's been dragon punched!!

Oh how I would get destroyed...

Where is it being held Mark? The Red Room hyperlink does not seem to be pointing to the right place.

EDIT: Link is right, but it's in Sydney (not Melbourne) this year.

Well now, I might have to pay the tourney a visit*

*To spectate, of course. I'm nowhere near competitive level :P

Edit: ah it's Sydney not Melbourne.
Thus my surprise as OzHadou do most of their stuff in Syd.
Shadowloo Showdown is the Melbourne event.

Doh, no Mortal Kombat or Smash Bros :(

I believe there is a Mortal Kombat tournament, it's just not one of the main advertised games

It was obvious Mark knew Melbourne was the superior state. Going to pretty cool to see Melbourne win Street Fighter, Marvel and King of Fighters XIII.

Tekken will most likely go to Sydney, but an upset from Melbourne would be sick!

Better see you there Mark! =b

why doesn't Perth have one of these :(
Perth has pretty regular tournaments actually. Get on board.

OH FFS I wanted to attend this year, after many years of broken resolutions ... but I'm out of the country at that time! DAMMIT!
