This Week In Games

Okay, there’s actually a lot of games coming out this week. A lot. The vast majority of them are PC only releases, but we also have Injustice: Gods Among Us, which promises to be rather sterling. Oh, and Fire Emblem for the 3DS. Finally

Eador: Masters of the Broken World

What is it? One of those board game style, turn-based affairs set in a pretty original game universe.
Should you care? Definitely a niche thing I would have thought, but I’m not a big fan of this genre. It’s been getting some promising write ups elsewhere though.

Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS)

What is it? It’s that game we should have had ages ago. Now we have it!
Should you care? Judging by the outrage in my inbox when this was delayed in Australia, plenty of you care about this!

God Mode

What is it? A co-op third person parody shooter from the makers of Catherine. WUT?
Should you care? I’d say it’s definitely worth at least checking out.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (360/PS3/PC)

What is it? The latest fighter from the creators of the last Mortal Kombat, with a seriously good license.
Should you care? Arguably the biggest release of the week.

Papo & Yo (PC)

What is it? An intensely personal video game about one man’s relationship with his father. Now ported to the PC.
Should you care? Not perfect, but this is a very interesting video game.

Sacred Citadel (PC)

What is it? A side-scrolling arcade fighter of sorts with RPG elements.
Should you care? It has a nice looking art style, but outside of that I know little about this game.
