No where is daily life's of high school boys or manga

    Evangelion.

So much this. SBS running this got me into anime. After that, I started to seek out anime. Much as I love good anime, it's a shame there's a lot of crap to wade through to find some of the gems.

Me too. Wasn't the first, but it was the point that I actually started looking up more of it.

I used to watch this on adult swim on cartoon network around 15 years ago. I never even watched them in order until I got the dvd set years later. Been hooked on anime ever since.

    Astroboy http://youtu.be/6O7qBbdZZYE

Yeah Astroboy for me. That and Voltron.

Astroboy as well. Old timers, gather around!

Astroboy, starblazers, robotech, then one Saturday morning in the ninties I discovered dbz.

Pokemon, beyblade, DBZ and Yu Gi Oh are all anime shows I watched as kid not knowing they were anime series. Bleach was the first series I watch that really got me into anime.

Add Cardcaptors to that list and you've got mine.
I'm not sure what my first proper anime was, possibly Lucky star.

        #13, Cardcaptor Sakura

I agree with the first 4. I didn't get into Bleach till the Internet was good enough to steam it/learn about the other shouen anime.

Dragon Ball Z and Ghost Fighter (Yu Yu Hakusho)! Go Pinoys! lol

    Robotech/Astroboy

Robotech for sure. On Agros cartoon connection in oz

I have to put Robotech as my main influence, but around the same time, I was watching Astroyboy as well, and don't forget Star Blazers (Which I think might be related to Space Battleship Yamato? on the list?)

Also, I'm not sure if it counts as Anime or not, but Ulysses was pretty awesome as well.

    Tekkaman & Tekkaman: Blade.

But what really got me into it was the program 'Cheeze TV', who remembers that?
    http://youtu.be/gMagZjWmFbE - Intro

Yep, the 3 I remember the most was Pokemon at 7:00am, DBZ at 7:30am and at 8:00 was Sailor Moon... which I turned off at that point and got ready for school.

Either Ghost in the shell or Ninja scroll. Was about 6-7 years old.

Pokemon, digimon, dbz, yugioh, bubblegum crisis, ghost in the shell

Though I watched anime like Pokemon, Digimon, Zoids, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, DBZ, etc. as a kid, I never got into anime until I sat down and watched Gurren Lagann a few years ago.

I watched all the usuals on cheez TV. Digimon, pokemon, dbz. But didn't watch anything out of those. Until a friend D of mine gave me a bunch of Naruto on DVDs. I that was the first time I sat down to binge on a TV show as well. But I was 15, that was 13 years ago.

How time flies when you're watching anime.

It was mid Nineties and Sailor Moon was on every morning on some kids show. (I think Agro was a host). Then I discovered Aeon Flux (does that count?) a few years later. Then Evangelion (first run on SBS). Then Tenchi Muyo and Ranma 1/2.

Robotech/astroboy were the shows I loved as a kid. Giant Robo and Akira were the shows(and movie) which made me want more

Surprised there was no Saint Seiya, nor Cowboy Bebop. Magical Index is an honest wtf. I wonder what made it so popular in Japan.

Though I watched Dragonaball Z, Pokemon, Beyblades, Cardcaptors, Sailor Moon and the such as a child I didn't really know what anime was, they were just cartoons I watched before school. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is what got me so heavily into anime and I am stoked it made it into the top ten. Good job KyoAni :)

Samurai pizza cats. Pokémon gets an honourable mention for the assist :)

Berserk and Gurren Lagann for me, can't believe neither made it and Cowboy Bebop as well. Alot of recent anime as well maybe accounts for the age group.

Marzinger z or tranzor z as it was known here in Australia.
