If nothing else, I think the guy who just won’t quit when it comes to pestering his girlfriend with Lord of the Rings quotes shows that Peter Jackson’s movies have some irresistibly charming qualities that Shadow of Mordor can’t really live up to. And that’s probably a good thing. Because, no disrespect to fans of ultraviolence, but imagine trying to lovingly prod your partner with one of the lines from that game. “Uh… honey, why do you keep giggling like a crazy person?”
