The Final Project CARS Trailer Is Pure Car Porn

I feel like I've posted way too much footage of Project CARS, but bloody hell — it's just so good to look at.

But this is the launch trailer for the game, and it's being released this week, so soon you'll be able to stop watching and start playing.

I suspect, however, that much of the pleasure you'll derive from a game like this will come directly from watching. Even if you are playing. That's the nature of high-end car simulators like this: it's pure pornography.

So um, yes. Kindly enjoy the above (car) pornography. Don't forget to ramp up the resolution in the settings.

Fantastic trailer, although I would've rather them release it 2 days early than watch that. So f***ing hype! It's been a long wait, but the next 48 hours is going to be the longest wait of all.

Picking it up first thing Thursday morning, gonna spend all day and night with it, but then we're going away for the weekend on Friday, AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!

It’d be nice if a few people could get reviews out. Surely it can’t be THAT hard to test the online code it’s only a racing game.

It’s the classic “give us money for our game before it goes on sale and we’ll give you 5 cars that should be in the game anyway, but we’ll make sure that nobody tells you if it’s any good or not first”.

Don’t get me wrong I’m pretty excited for this game and expect it to be pretty good, but I want to see a review or two before I fork out money for it.
At the same time I want to download it so it’s ready to go on launch day and I want the pre-order cars….

The backgrounds are very sterile, but the rest looks great.

    Any Wii-U traliers?

Thought you were joking..... But then re-watched trailer.

Not joking, check out the extra functionality for the Wii-U

I am just waiting for Green Man Gaming to cough up the activation code on this, this and Wolfenstein: TOB might pry me away from GTA V.

*Looks at graphics & physics claims* Hmm, pretty exciting...
*Looks at (lack of) available cars, lack of upgrade system* PASSSSSSSSSS.

I love cars IRL, and Forza is my favourite car gaming franchise. Both in game and in real life I gravitate towards cars that it's possible to actually own - I get more of a thrill looking at some souped up Nissan Silvia or Toyota Supra than I'll EVER get from looking at a Ferrari, Lambo, F1 or other dedicated "race" car. I just find them... boring somehow. I like the idea that a car is an extension of the owners personality, and love it when said car is personalised/customized to their choosing in whatever small (or large) ways.

From what I've seen now, Project Cars lacks the level of personalisation and grass roots that I personally see as part of the soul of the car scene. Whether or not this makes a good racing game waits to be seen after release, but I very much doubt I'll be buying it. Shame really, because Forza 5 was so incredibly lacking that it would have been nice to see the torch passed on to a new franchise...

Yeah, let me stick a rotary into a Morris Minor 1000 and race it!

How about a Morris body on a Ferrari chassis with a Corvette engine, check out the Morrari

Man I wouldn’t get too down on Forza as a series just yet. It’s been a pretty consistant series.

The last one was a rushed out launch game that was more Forza 4.5 than Forza 5.
With the engine, basic assets and gameplay down pat I expect Forza 6 to be brimming with content and add all the small features that Forza 5 either miss out on or dumbed down.

      I hope.

Guess I'll have to start saving for a Thrustmaster or Fanatec wheel now seeing as my Logi wont work... Unless I buy a PC copy as well.

The Logitech G25/G27 don't work on console?

Nope, the official PS4 wheel is the Thrustmaster T300 and the Xone is Fanatec I think. Logitech no longer makes wheels and the last firmware update Logi released was 2010. But the jury is out on whether it's Sony's fault or Logis'

i need to know if my pedal set would work with it before i spend my $ on it.

G27 with a reversed brake pedal (breaks many games) as you need to reverse the axis.
