It’s a bit of a dry week, unless you’re a Wii U owner in which case there’s Star Fox Zero! An oasis, shimmering in the desert. Goddammit you guys must be parched. There’s also Ratchet & Clank which is, by all accounts, really surprisingly awesome.
Basically it’s a real good week for cartoon animals doing stuff.
LOUD on Planet X (PC)
What is it? It’s a music/rhythm game. A cross between Guitar Hero and Plants vs Zombies.
Should you care? Normally no, but this game actually has a great music line-up, including one of my favourite bands, Purity Ring.
Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
What is it? It’s Ratchet & Clank! A new one!
Should you care? Apparently it’s really, properly good.
Rugby Challenge 3: Wallabies Edition (Xbox One/PS4/360/PS3)
What is it? It’s a Rugby game. It’s the only one you’re gonna get.
Should you care? If you like Rugby, this is your whack.
Star Fox Zero (Wii U)
What is it? It’s a Wii U game. Remember those?
Should you care? I’ve been pretty lukewarm on this, but it’s Star Fox, and it’s Platinum Games so probably worth a look.
The Banner Saga 2
What is it? The viking saga thing. This game has the best art.
Should you care? Yeah, for sure. Especially if you were a fan of the original.
The Collider 2 (PC)
What is it? Like a spaceship battle game of sorts.
Should you care? The production values are pretty crazy. Looks great at least.
Western Press (PC)
What is it? This is a game about duels. Like gunfights. It looks rad.
Should you care? Yeah, I reckon. This looks like a great party game. I’m down.
Did we miss anything? We always miss something. Let us know in the comments below!

What is it? STAR FOOOOOOX!
Should you care? GET OUT MY WAY I NEED ME SOME STAR FOOOOOOX!
Uh, you kinda sorta missed a few entries.. 🙁
You know that saying, “If you can’t say anything nice…”.
Not content with leaving out half of the games (thanks again @germinalconsequence ) Serrels is now leaving us to use our imaginations to fill in the blanks 🙂
Also out this week:
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PC)
Axiom Verge (Vita)
Invisible Inc. (PS4)
Langrisser Re:Incarnation (3DS)
Loud on Planet X (PS4)
Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code (PC)
Pang Adventures (PS4)
Dungeons 2 (PS4)
Lumo (PS4/Vita)
Lol I come to these weekly articles to see your posts as well as mark’s xD You should get a co-author credit!
Yeah no offence Serrels, but maybe you should just hire Prolix to do this article once a week 😛
…but first, coffee!
Starfox for me this week. 😀
Rugby Challenge 3: Wallabies Edition (Xbox One/PS4/360/PS3)
What is it? Another entry in this woeful series.
Should you care? You shouldn’t really, if you want to win every match just bind every player into the ruck or maul and you turn the ball over, every, single, fucking, time.
woooo. I completely forgot Star Fox was coming out. Didn’t really like the DS ones that much so hope this can live up to Lylat Wars.
Arrrgghh I really really want a Wii U but all this talk of the NX has got me worried I’d only be buying a console with one year left in it…
So? You’ve got three and a half years of games to catch up on. Hop to it!
This is true, but I hear rumors of a backward compatible NX. Waiting to see what happens at e3. Got plenty to play in the meantime.
Fair point, I often forget b/c is a thing.
I’d wait, some of the rumors on the NX indicates end of year release, with some form of backward compatibility with Wii U. May as well wait a few months and see what gets announced.
Great, I’ve been saved by Fox, how swell.
Can’t you go bother someone else?
Gee Mark, anybody would think there’s a new Dark Souls game out 😀
I can hardly MOVE.
After the disappointing updates to both the division and destiny (no surprises there), I think I’ll pick up Ratchet & Clank to play until uncharted hits
Looking forward to Ratchet and Clank and The Banner Saga 2 (the first was great).
Kinda surprised Mark isn’t more excited for Starfox, they released a gameplay trailer and it looks great!
After the credits of Star Fox, this message appears.

Spoilers.
…that’ll probably be on the front page thumbnail here soon, won’t it? Whatever it is.
How the hell is Iwata dying last year a spoiler?
Because you’re not supposed to find that out til the end of the game, geez!
Apparently, the only thing Platinum worked on for Starfox Zero was art direction/concept stuff – nothing at all to do with gameplay, so that’s disappointing and explains why the game seems to be missing that Platinum Games pizzazz.
SF0 gonna be so good, it looks like it’s exactly what I’ve wanted in a successor to Lylat Wars – more Lylat Wars!
