Horizon Zero Dawn Delayed To March 2017

Video: Hunting robot dinosaurs in the post-apocalypse will have to wait until March 1, but for now, there's a new Horizon Zero Dawn trailer.

Rumours of a delay for the PS4 exclusive have been kicking around, and it's not a surprise Sony wanted to get it out of the way before E3.

"It wasn't an easy choice to make; we know many of you have been anxious to play the game since we first announced it," said Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst in a blog post. "However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for. The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn."

Bummer.

Part bummer, part my birthday is in March so i now have something to ask for.

It's all swings and roundabouts in the end.

*shrug* Cool. Wasn't honestly expecting it til Q1 2017 for some reason so this really isn't a surprise to me.

Me jimlock no like game's concept.

Good game would be robot-dino hunt human.
    Robot-dino is true king!

Never noticed you type how you speak IRL

Me jimlock say CJ need be more observant

Can't wait for the devs to get death threats for delaying the game!

Delays are so common now I was expecting this to happen.

Probably find 3/4 of the stuff dated from E3 will be delayed

Lemme guess, they put it on hold because they want to incorporate VR?

Or....maybe it's just not ready? From the above trailer it still looks pretty rough.

      In a third person game?

Third person actually seems to work well. Look at Lucky's Tale for Oculus and a whole host of other small things.

Thank God. There's too much to play in 2016 already, and we're only half-way in.

I am ok with that. Gives me time to buy a Ps4 neo and catch up with UC and TLOU.

Main Character sounds like Supergirl aka Nicholle Tom of JLU, The Nanny and Beethoven fame.

looks like theres more to this game than i originally thought and the locations looked fantastic however i didn't really find the voice work to be very natural but then again maybe i just need a coffee to get going.

After Uncharted 4, all other voice work seems kind of not good enough anymore. Sounds like the dude from XCOM was doing the voice over and he always had a very "videogamey" voice.

I don't know anyone who was expecting it this year. I don't even remember them announcing it for 2016? it was always a 2017 release in my head so no disappointment. If I don't get The Last Guardian this year though! I'll write a poorly worded angry letter. I'd like to say 'well written letter' but I know my limits.
