There isn’t a great deal on offer when it comes to actual hardware. But if you want some solid discounts on games that will last you a while, and Target is all out of stock, Big W has some offers.
These aren’t the lowest prices games have been at; I don’t think we’ll see Final Fantasy 15 under $25 for a little while yet. But if you’re looking to spend under a dollar per hour of gameplay, there’s plenty of pickings.
You can view the full catalogue here, but to save time I’ve broken down the offers below:
Games
• Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration (PS4): $39
• The Uncharted Collection (PS4): $42
• Dishonored 2 (PS4/XBO): $25
• Call of Duty Infinite Warfare (PS4/XBO): $42
• LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens (PS4/XBO): $29
• LEGO Batman 3 Beyond Gotham (PS4/XBO): $25
• LEGO Worlds (PS4/XBO): $42
• Hitman Steelbook Edition (PS4/XBO): $55
• DOOM (PS4/XBO): $17
• Fallout 4 (PS4/XBO): $17
• Skyrim Special Edition (PS4/XBO): $29
• Just Cause 3 (PS4): $35
• Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Special Edition (PS4/XBO): $32
• Rainbow Six Siege (PS4/XBO): $32
• Need for Speed (PS4/XBO): $32
• Pokemon Sun/Moon/Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: $47
• Far Cry Primal Special Edition (PS4/XBO): $45
• No Man’s Sky (PS4): $39
• The Last Guardian (PS4): $39
• Watch Dogs 2 (PS4/XBO): $42
• Mafia 3 (PS4/XBO): $39
• Gears of War 4 (XBO): $55
Hardware
• Xbox One S 500GB w/Forza Horizon 3, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare: $349
• PS4 Pro 1TB w/Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare: $559
Not too bad. The console deals aren’t fantastic and the Xbox One S has gone for cheaper: I’d wait until later in the year, if you could, to see what happens when Scorpio drops. Dishonored 2 and Fallout 4 is a nice bundle, and it’s a better package than the PS4 Pro bundles on offer right now.
That said, you don’t have to buy right now. But games like Just Cause 3, DOOM, Dishonored 2, Watch Dogs 2 and even Need for Speed are solid value at those prices.
The offers are valid through to April 19, according to the catalogue. They’re also available online, although you’ll have to search the site manually for each item. Here’s the landing page to get you started. And if you want some cheaper prices on games like the Uncharted collection and Ratchet and Clank, info on the Target sale is below.

Wow 17 bucks for Doom. I might give it a go. Looks fun.
Be ready for 50GB in patches 😉
On PS4 that must take a whole nights worth.
Almost as bad as Halo Master Chief Collection, a 20gb day one patch, and a 45gb later patch for… most of the entire game. Halo 5 was 45gb, plus another 60gb for the game.
Doom was … 22gb for an ‘arcade mode’ and a few extra levels. ESO the MMO, was something like 30-40gb
someone even made a list of the more ridiculous examples https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1i-QAbdRZGNpe0GcuyQY5DI2xrqAjqVC5NUIpjtNdnUI/edit#gid=0
100% worth it.
I was in there on the weekend.
Nearly grabbed Ghost Recon: Wildlands for $53!
Defs gonna pick up Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dishonored 2 – thank god I’ve got something to do this long weekend now.
Tomb raider is $31 on PSN at the moment
With the mild exception of multiplayer games, this is why it’s great to not give in to the urge to buy games at the week of release.
Been wanting to get Watch Dogs 2 & Just Cause 3, might pop to Big W this week and see if they have copies. Maybe also the Uncharted collection.
I can’t believe how low some of those games are. Doom and Dishonored 2 in particular are standouts. Neither of them are even 12 months old! Why do we even buy games at release anymore
