I’m not going to prattle on about excessive merchandising — we all know the story by now. But, if you’re utterly bonkers for all things Legend of Zelda, the Hyrulan Hyrulin Hyruleian edition of CLUE is yet another trophy for the mantelpiece. Or the table, if you want to play the thing.
Instead of solving a murder, players have to figure out “WHO possesses the power to defeat Ganondorf, WHAT item is required to defeat him, and WHERE he has established his hidden lair?” Available characters include Link and Zelda, as well as Nabooru, Rauru, Darunia and Impa.
When I first checked the game out, it wasn’t shipping to Australia from either Merchoid or Amazon. However, upon investigating this morning, it seems Amazon has changed its tune (well, the seller anyway).
So, for the sum of $US39.99, plus $US53.99 for shipping, it can be yours. Not exactly cheap, so unless you’re desperate, I’d wait until your game shop of choice gets stock.
Sadly, stores with slightly more reasonable shipping won’t send copies to Australia due to “distribution restrictions”. I guess that’s what eBay is for.

I have a 2010 version of clue and I hate the characters. I prefer the ones from the 90’s.
I also hate the new one (they changed 2 of the characters), so maybe a Zelda one might be a good idea for me.
Now that’s a game variant I can get behind. Screw Monopoly 😛
