So for those who pre-ordered, the Destiny 2 beta kicked off earlier this morning. For those who didn’t, the open beta (on consoles) begins later this week. And with that comes the most important question: what class will you be playing?
I’ve always played as a Titan, so the beta might be a good opportunity to muck around with a Hunter. Most of the people I play with prefer being a Warlock, and I don’t have any inclination to step on their toes. And I’d be just as happy to play a Titan again, because there’s nothing better than leaping forward and smashing a group of people all trying to cover a point at once.
The Senitnel’s shield looks nice, but it doesn’t seem like it has the same versatility that Fist of Havoc did in terms of range. Sure, you’ll be able to peg the shield forward and you can pop it to retreat if you need to stay alive. But that’s not quite the same as being able to defensively react to an enemy super, or getting a surprise angle of attack by leaping forward mid-air.
So either Titan Striker or Hunter Arcstrider for me. But what about yourselves, what class will you be playing either this weekend, or when the PC beta kicks off next month?

The answer should always be rock. Rock beats scissors and I don’t care what anyone says, it also ruins paper.
Spock vaporises rock…
Spock can’t do nothin’ with a caved in skull.
I would say Warlock again, but that all depends on if it’s just another digital crack pipe or not.
Come on Bungie!
Anthem, I’ll be playing Anthem
My Titan is for fightin’!!!
Was hunter all through D1 so safe to say i’ll be a hunter in D2.
TITAN REPORTIN’ IN HOO-RAH! LETS DO THIS!
Hunter, stab stab!
All three on rotation… This is the correct answer.
If I could only be one it’s Titan all the way. That’s as close to Master Chief as I’ll get on PS4.
Man, you’re going to be pissed when you find out that this won’t be a thing in D2, cause the point is captured at the same speed whether there is 1 player on it, or all 4… So that ultimate is pretty useless for point captures now.
Lets be fair, in casual this will be largely unknown.
Probably warlock again, but the little bit of the beta I played this morning didn’t leave me enthused about the new jumps… focused burst feels like it brings you to a stop before giving you a speed boost that could be out-paced by sprinting. Maybe I just need to figure out how it works, and see if I can find a way to use it that doesn’t feel like I’m jumping through treacle.
Warlock then maybe hunter for crucible. To be honest I don’t really like the new hunter ability, might stick with golden gun
I have only played warlock in destiny 1 as i only got ‘the collection’ not long ago. But even though i have really like warlock i will definitely be playing as a captain america titan smashin chumps with my shield.
Also like how the Titan can chose to pop a bubble up or go offensive. And loving the warlock healing / damage rifts
I’ll be playing one of the brand new classes, given that it’s a whole new game. Oh wait…
