I think I was always more of a fan of the idea of FMV games than their implementation. And their previews/demos were good entertainment for JUST long enough to not get tired of it.
Sorry… there used to be a guy that guessed The Dig for every Scribbletaku/Remember This/Haitaku.

Gah, I KNEW I knew it. Only played a few minutes of GK2, preferring #1 but there were a few FMV games I enjoyed (Tex Murphy series, Return to Zork).
This one is also annoyingly familiar but can’t even place an approximation.
It kind of reminds me of the particle accelerator at the start of Another World
