If you’ve had troubles booting anything up on the PS4 this morning, you’re not the only one.
Update: After a painful morning, Sony has corrected the issue:
Sony confirmed user reports early this morning that people were having difficulties launching games on the console, with the official status page noting that the outage affects the potential launching of online features, applications and games.
We’re aware that users are having issues accessing some features on PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate.

Some developers took to their own accounts to let users know the problem wasn’t on their end, with Epic putting out a notice through the official Fortnite Twitter account.
You may run into issues partying with your squad on Playstation. We’re currently monitoring and we’ll let you know when that resolves for PS4 players!

The outage is resulting in all sorts of weird effects for people: some aren’t able to launch games, while others are able to launch games, but not able to connect to any servers afterwards. The problems aren’t isolated to one region, either.
