This Week In Games: War In All Forms

After the deluge of AAA titles, things are starting to calm down a fraction. It's still a massive week for two reasons though: Battlefield 5 gets its full launch tomorrow, the Magic: The Gathering x Dungeons & Dragons crossover drops with Guide to Ravnica, and Warframe takes over the Switch.

Oh and just for fun: the Australian eShop gets a German-only quiz game this week. Really.

  • Battlefield V (PC, PS4, XBO)
  • Dungeons & Dragons: Guide to Ravnica (Tabletop)
  • Omen of Sorrow (PS4)
  • SNK 40th Anniversary Collection (Switch)
  • Ms Spolsion Man (Switch)
  • Warframe (Switch)
  • Storm Boy: The Game (Switch)
  • Moto Racer 4 (Switch)
  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (Switch)
  • YouTubers Life (Switch)
  • Party Hard (Switch)
  • Steamburg (Switch)
  • Nidhogg 2 (Switch)
  • Hyperide (Switch)
  • ATV Drift Tricks (Switch)
  • Farming Simulator 19 (PC, PS4, XBO, Switch)
  • I AM THE HERO (XBO)
  • Darksiders 3 (PC, PS4, XBO)*
  • Squishies (PSVR)
  • Please Don't Touch Anything (Switch)
  • Age of Civilizations 2 (PC)
  • You Have 10 Seconds 3 (PC)

Note: Darksiders 3 is out next Monday, and will be available before the next This Week in Games post, so I'm including it here just as a precaution.

Real quiet week for PC releases, if you ignore the torrent of shovelware that's on Steam these days. Let's get on with some gameplay, starting with Nidhogg 2, which should be a perfect party treat come Christmas.

We'll see more about Warframe this week for sure. I've heard good things about the performance, which is nice.

Beyond that, see anything you like this week? Or still catching up with the recent deluge of releases?

Warfare looks the goods, and comes with gyro aiming out of the box. Good guys panic button!

*Warframe. Going from a phone which merely suggests autocorrect to one which enforces it is quite annoying!

Also, paladins just got a gyro controls update which is second only to splatoon. It controls fantastically, better than the panic button efforts, and is also an option for ps4 players!

I'm somewhat interested in Warframe and Nidhogg 2 but given the number of Switch titles I'm playing simultaneously (never mind the backlog), I will probably forgo picking up anything on this week's list. Darksiders 3 is mighty tempting though.

It's getting harder and harder for me to ignore the Switch. Will wait for further news on the hardware revision (only because I'm in no rush so I might as well). Have you picked up Civilisation?

I've owned mine for almost a year now and it was definitely a great purchase so you won't regret it. I haven't bought Civ 6 yet but it's definitely on my radar. I've heard nothing but good things about it. If my backlog was smaller I'd have bought it by now.

Is it too late to rename Storm Boy to Bin Chicken Simulator?

Also turns out the game is connected to the remake of the 1976 films that is due in cinemas before xmas.

Ibis is the Bin Chicken. Pelicans are something else

There's a section in the game where you control an Ibis.

Fair enough. Not sure why that deserved a downvote but eh

Not sure if it's a new thing, but very nice to see tabletop included in the list!
