Yup, this is a thing now. Nathan DeLuca and Eve Beauregard are the cosplayers at the heart of this BioShock Infinite tribute, falling through the sky in the name of fancy dress.
Sure, the background is from the game’s promotional art, but if you’re expecting cosplayers to be able to construct a floating metropolis they can jump off just to take a photo, you’re… weird.
To get the effect, they had to use two photographers, since Eve is in Australia. So Booker is actually jumping, while Elizabeth’s fall “involved an elaborate set up with a fan, a chair, fishing line and lighting stands”.

Man, they went all out, built a whole floating city and EVERYTHING!
Eve does some amazing cosplay, follow her on twitter or Facebook, the work she puts into the costumes is phenomenal.
He doesn’t look like he is falling.
That’s the stupidest comment I’ve read today, and when you consider how shallow and negative Kotaku’s readership can be, that’s saying something. But, to be fair, please post a link to your amazing cosplay shoot, coordinated across two continents, and I’ll humbly retract my criticism.
Is this satire or something?
i love it,
it really makes you think how popular gaming has gotten over the past decade that people are putting this much effort in 😀
I know the point is that they didn’t do this, but WHY THE FUCK photoshop themselves to the point that they might as well have just cg’d on the costumes? Doesn’t that defeat the whole purpouse? Might as well just copy paste your head onto Elizabeth’s body
