All Of Besiege Beaten With A Single, Perfect Machine

It’s hard not to marvel at the boundless (sometimes disturbing) creativity with which people approach Steam construction mega-hit Besiege. This is different though. Cold, mechanical precision. Infinite versatility. Doom.

OK, maybe Niet Ivo‘s Doom Copter doesn’t look quite as intimidating as its suggests, but make no mistake: it will fuck your shit up. Well, if you’re a tiny soldier or a herd of sheep or a series of itsy bitsy fortresses, anyway. He used it to beat every level in Besiege, some by methods more… obtuse than others. But still, a win is a win, and it’s official Kotaku, Steamed, and Nathan Grayson policy to never pick fights with floating death barges.

Now, admittedly, Besiege is still in Early Access, and I imagine there will be even more challenging levels in the final version. This also reveals something I’ve discovered even in my relatively) brief amount of time wreaking havoc on Besiege‘s pastel purgatory kingdoms: the game is overwhelmingly weighted in favour of flying contraptions. Developer Spiderling Studios should probably do something about that. Still, this is a pretty neat accomplishment for the moment — at least, until someone devises a dick-based torture machine that can also clear the whole game.
