There are any number of reasons as to why fans of the original ThunderCats series from the ’80s are up in arms over the style of ThunderCats Roar, Cartoon Network’s upcoming reboot of the franchise that’s decidedly more whimsical and aimed at a younger audience.
By the power of Grayskull, and also nostalgia! The Masters of the Universe are joining forces with the Thundercats for a brand new comic book miniseries later this year — a concentrated dose of ’80s nostalgia so powerful, it might as well be time-travel.
Not a question that may have ever kept you up at night, but it might now when you consider how much more interesting the show would have been if it had been about cat problems, and not cat people problems.
