Until now. We’ve known for a while that trophy support is coming to the 2008 classic, and today Sony Revealed the full Trophy list for the game. Some of them are pretty outstanding.

Bronze

I don’t get down for PlayStation trophies nearly as much as I do for Xbox achievements, but even taking that into consideration, I’m sure I’m not the only one who is going to play through the game again and try to get all of these. Heck, I didn’t even know some of this stuff was possible.

I didn't know all this stuff was even possible either! I was however expecting to see some trophies for finishing each act and finishing the game; but these trophies will make me play the whole game again regardless. Can't wait :)
Just had a read of that PS blog article and noticed it said we will get the trophies in early August, that's great!
Plus, is there a chance that this list would be incomplete? Because looking at it again, it does seem weird to have no story related trophies in there.

I think it's a sad state of affairs when somebody thinks a masterpiece like MGS4 feels "incomplete" due to something as insignificant as lack of trophies.
Especially when trophies weren't even a thing when MGS4 was released.
And you already had the emblems which rewarded you for playing the game in certain ways.
These trophies were looking like something I could bang out in an afternoon... until I read those last two. I'm not usually fussed at all about Achievements/Trophies but I think this one will be my first Platinum.
too hard to get this platinum. Cbb getting big boss rank in this game.
Big Boss rank is actually one of the easiest of the highest ranks to get in a Metal Gear Solid game, particularly since you can save after every checkpoint, most bosses are allowed to be taken down during their first phase with lethal weapons and not have it count as a kill, there are plenty of other ways to heal yourself without using rations and there aren't other random restrictions such as a limited amount of bullets used.
It certainly can be time consuming, but it is by no means impossible.
