Rumour: 38 Studios Shutting Down Big Huge Games

Reports are circulating that Kingdoms of Amalur creators 38 Studios has shut down Big Huge Games, the developers who helped build the hit action RPG that came out earlier this year. If this is true, the shuttering of an entire studio would be the biggest bit of fallout yet from the 38 Studio/Rode Island financial imbroglio.

Rumour: Microsoft Prepping ‘Kinect Play Fit’ Exercise Tracking And Heart-Rate Monitor

The Verge is reporting today that Microsoft will be adding new functionality to the Xbox 360 that tracks users’ physical activity across multiple Kinect games. The report also says that there will be a sensor accessory — codenamed Joule — that will track your heart rate while playing. Stats on your activity, measured against various fitness goals, will live in the cloud.
