Magic: The Gathering — Duels of the Planeswalkers has been turned into geek Madden, each year releasing a fresh set of cards, formulating new challenges and unleashing them upon a card-collecting public that never stops wanting more. This year’s entry reaches a little further than 2013′s iOS, PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, adding Android devices to the mix and making my tapping obsession all but inescapable.

Wizards of the Coast finally realised how amazing the Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers series would be on the iPad, with Apple’s tablet joining PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live when the game’s 2013 instalment launches this winter.

In the nearly 40 years since the release of the original edition of the Dungeons & Dragons pen-and-paper role-playing game, various publishers have released many different versions of the game, pleasing new players and alienating old ones on a fairly regular basis. Now Wizards of the Coast is working on the next edition of Dungeons & Dragons, and they want to please all of the elven people all of the time.
