Win! The Chance To Attend Kotaku's Exclusive RAGE Event

We've been teasing this for a while now, but now it's time to reveal our latest competition! At Kotaku we're organising our very own RAGE pre-release event, giving you 12 people the chance to check out the game early at an awesome location in Sydney!

We're also providing each winner with a $100 voucher for JB Hifi, to allow you to buy the game when it's released in October.

Our event will be fully catered with food and drinks provided!

Entering the competition is simple - all you have to do is create a 'rage comic' about RAGE. For those who are unaware of what a rage comic is - here are a few examples...

Feel free to use the entire range of 'rage' characters, the 'me gusta' guy, the 'FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU' guy, the troll - everyone is welcome. The most creative/funny/interesting entries will win. Drop your entries in jpg form in the comments below!

The competition opens now, and closes on September 14. The event itself is on September 29. Sadly we won't be able to provide flights and travel for those outside of Sydney.

Terms and conditions can be found here.

Good luck everyone!

"Sadly we won’t be able to provide flights and travel for those outside of Sydney."

I think that about kills it for pretty much everyone outside of Sydney :S

To everyone outside Sydney complaining: Do your best to win the competition, and either give the prize to someone in Sydney or leave it with one less person attending. Remember that this is a two part prize, including a $100 JB Hifi voucher.

Dude shut up, the less people who enter the better my chance is!

But I live in Victoria!!! FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU

Wow, now if i could only think of something funny.

I'm going to join in all the haters.

    Damn Sydney. *shakes fist*

Why can't there be a Canberra competitio- Oh, yeah. Right.

I get the feeling a recurring theme in these comics will be about the protagonist's inability to get to Sydney...

When will the event be? Considering some entrants may wish to travel should they win, I request notice so it can be arranged.
Surprisingly cheap, albeit lengthy, to train up to Sydney from Melbourne.

On a're offering catering and drinks at a videogame event on a Sydney...FFFFFUUUUUU

Damn it, I'm in San Fran that weekend... Actually, I'm in San Fran that weekend, never mind.

AHAHAAHA! I just laughed almost out loud with my genious idea for an entry! (Genius typo on porpoise)

We'll let you know when we find the missing porpoise.

Of course that won't do you much good because Snowflake is a dolphin.

Whew... now I feel better. 'Course, that might not do any good you see nobody's missing a porpoise. It's a dolphin that's been taken. The common harbor porpoise has an abrupt snout, pointed teeth and a triangular thoracic fin. While the bottlenose dolphin, or Tursiops truncates, has an elongated beak, round cone shaped teeth and a serrated dorsal appendage. But I'm sure you already knew that. That's what turns me on about 'cha, your attention to detail.

Ooh, good comp. I'm an angry, angry man, so I'm sure I can find something to (badly) draw a comic about!

I live in Perth, so no hope for me, but this might facilitate things for everyone:

    Sorry guys outside of Sydney.

I'll sort out an awesome comp for everyone when I get back. THAT'S A PROMISE!

Mark's going to be away for a month! FFFFUUUUUUU...

With one sentence, you prove further why a LOT of readers will leave Kotaku if you're fired Mark. :)

Ironically even though I'm from Sydney this alligns terribly with my sister's wedding.

Basically I fly out the last day of the contest (which would be fine) and fly back in 2 days after the event (which isn't).

Not that I have much faith in my artistic abilities, but would have been interesting to meet you guys had I got lucky.

A Sydney exclusive. Excuse me while I contain my surprised and enthusiastic behaviour. Yay. Woo. Yippee.

I'll actually be in Melbourne at the time. Or on my way to Victoria from Canberra. Now I'm raging it's not in Melbourne.
Well not really, because I'm not all that interested in Rage anyway.

    No one likes Sydney.

Sweet, everyone's bowing out because they are from elsewhere.

...if only I had an idea :(

.....and knew anything at all about RAGE >_>

Hey, can all the interstate people still enter but then give their winning prize to me.. that sounds fair right?

Im in this one for sure!. Im in Sydney and I want to go to free stuff!!!! If only I was funny!

I feel like Kotaku gets a lot of crap when events are in Sydney. Please remember - THEY DO NO NOT HOST THESE EVENTS. It's not their choice.

Fair point actually, Ive been to a couple of them all arranged by the company, that Kotaku just happens to be invited to.

Ha ha! Finally Sydney gets a cool thing.

    (Best get to work.)

September 29th is a Thursday. Is this after business hours, e.g.: after 5pm, or is it during the day?

So the article says post your entries as a jpg in the comments, but the T&C says:

Only entries submitted via an email to [email protected] will be accepted.

Nah, drop them in the comments.

Someone else did the T & Cs. That's a mistake.

Thanks for the heads up though :)

hmmm a competition about rage... i have the perfect ammo! but i wont..

Haha, "Angry Dad". Surely someone will do one about the Alyssa/ Gizmodo saga with a nerd's head inevitably exploding in a mushroom cloud of rage in the final panel :P

Well here's my entry, would love to go to this event.
