Is it possible to have a Tell Us Dammit that’s not about GTA V? It’ll be tough, but let’s give it a go. Alrighty, let’s keep it simple. Including Grand Theft Auto V, and all the games that are yet to be released this year, what are you most looking forward to?
We still have Skyrim, Zelda, and a new Assassin’s Creed to come this year — not to mention Modern Warfare 3. Then early next year we have Mass Effect 3 and, of course GTA V.
Then we have the more niche games. I’m keen for Journey, Trials Evolution and The Last Guardian.
Man, that’s a lot of games. Anyway — let us know what you guys are looking forward to.
I’m actually pretty satisfied at the moment. For the moment I’m looking forward to Uncharted 3 (have to wait for UK delivery), Zelda, Super Mario 3D Land and eventually Mass Effect 3 – but otherwise I’m just happy with the stuff I’ve accumulated over the past year or two that is sitting there, waiting to play
AC Revelations for me. Even though it’s just been released, Infamous Festival of Blood is yet to fit into my game purchasing plan, but I’ll slot it in.
Skyrim has me hyped. There’s a rumor going around about a day 1 mod kit, which should be fantastic.
UMVC3 looks to bring a lot more balance to my favourite fighter (everything else feels too slow in comparison)
Also, I know its not a game, but Nightwing DLC for Arkham Ctiy!!
deleted
Skyward Sword, Mario and Mario Kart. Next year? Mass Effect 3!
Most of the games I am looking forward to have been released, so what’s left is pretty much just Zelda and AssRev, neither of which sit up as high as Gears 3 or Dark Souls did.
For the record, the games I’m particularly looking forward to now are: Mass Effect 3, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm.
“AssRev”
heh.
I must play Skyrim! The rest can all wait. I’ll get BF3 if (when) it eventually turns up on Steam.
And I should probably replay Mass Effect 1 & 2 but if 3 is going to just be on Origin who knows if I’ll bother.
Oh, and DOTA 2 Beta, I hope. Rumor has it that the next wave will start on Sunday the 6th.
Saints Row 3, Skyrim, AC Revelations, Prototype 2 (Next Year).
SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! SKYRIM! This man has the right of it.
Skyrim 🙂
I am getting Skyrim next friday night and am not planning on playing anything else until Mass Effect 3.
+ 9001
In no particular order
– Skyrim
– Batman Arkham City (PC)
– AC – Revelations (PC)
– Mass Effect 3
Saints Row the Third, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Batman Arkham City (PC) are my big ones to look forward to.
Zelda SS, Ass Rev, SM3DL, RE 3DS and the Move remakes of the RE Wii shooters, The Last Gaurdian and of course GTA V.
I’m also seriously hoping for the announcement for a HD remake or sequal to Eternal Darkness.
Skyrim… and the patch to fix MyPlayer in NBA2K12…
ME3, Skyrim, Saints Row The Third…GTAV! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!
Tough question.
I guess my biggest anticipations are Uncharted 3 and GTA V. They are unhesitatingly day-one purchases.
Max Payne 3 is something I am looking forward to, but with trepidation.
AC: Revelations has been bumped from the top of the list, as has Mass Effect 3, though I will pick them up too, if budget permits.
I’m totally psyched about Skyrim! Although with my current study-load and the amount of assessments I have due; I probably won’t get to play it until early December 🙁
I’m also keen to get MW3 & BF3, I’ve not been able to afford BF3 yet… but, I might use this thread for some advice.
I recently won a copy of Batman: AC on PS3, I have an Xbox360. Now, it is brand-spanking and un-opened. What should I trade it in for:
Batman: AC on X360?
BF3 on X360?
MW3 on X360?
Skyrim on PC?
BF3 on PC?
I’m tossing up between PC BF3 and X360 BF3 as my PC isn’t the best in the world and I really need to sort it out before putting more games on it… but from what I’ve seen the X360 version of BF3 looks pretty ace.
Any advice Kotaku AU?
Batman
Done & done.
Batman: AC is ace!
New hitman game? anyone? Anyone at all?
Skyrim, just to see if they can recapture the “You wont be needing a life we’re you’re going” aspect of Morrowind and avoid the not-totally-game-ruining plastic-three-voice-actor feel of Oblivion.
So just a full length game version of Shivering Isle, I guess.
Problem is I spend half the year starved for games, then November rolls around and I’m spoilt for choice. #Firstworldproblems
I am well keen for the new Hitman game, but I need more info on it before I get excited for it.
Skyward Sword has slowly but surely become my most anticipated game. When it was first announced it was ‘meh’ but the closer I’m getting to the release date the more I feel this will be something special.
I’ve got Arkham City and NBA 2K12 sitting in my checkout from play-asia. I am currently waiting for Skyim to come out, I’ll add this to my checkout and buy them all at the same time. Been using the time between now and then to finish Brotherhood and Bastion. Currently going through Shadow Complex (amaaazzzzing) and will then go back to finish off Vanquish. Hopefully they should keep me satisfied between now and when Skyrim comes out.
Skyward Sword is my most anticipated title of the year. After that theres Max Payne 3, Bioshock Infinite, GTA V, Metal Gear & Silent Hill HD Collections, The Last Guardian, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Res Evil Revelations, and Twisted Metal
How am I suppose to “Tell You Dammit” Mark if I can’t even post 🙁
Ok seeing as I can finally post a damn message here is my post:
hrmmm, there are a few. From the top of my head in no particular order it is something along the lines of:
– Star Wars The Old Republic
– Zelda SS
– Skyrim
– Batman AC (on PC)
– Diablo 3
– Mass Effect 3
– Super Mario Land 3D
I feel like I talk about it a lot (I probably do :P), but Skyward Sword is my most anticipated game. I haven’t bought a new game in months in the lead up…
Skyrim.
The Last Guardian.
The Last Story.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
Oh, and I’m even very much looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII-2
I wish those two “The Last” games were coming out this year, as well as FFXIII-2. Feel like I haven’t played a real FF title in years.
I know that feeling. the closest thing to a real FF I’ve played in a while was Lost Odyssey.
And I’m happy waiting for those. I’ve dedicated the end of this year and at least January to Skyrim.
Yeah, Mistwalker’s output has been solid. I was impressed with Lost Odyssey, and not as impressed but still delighted with blue dragon. The Last Story is high on my list.
Skyrim is not a big deal to me, even though it seems like it should be.
Skyrim, AC Revelations, Zelda… that’s enough for now.
Diablo 3, mass effect 3, skyrim, serious sam 3… yeah boi!!!!!!
Zelda > Skyrim > MW3
I still haven’t recieved Batman from the UK, so I’m going to include that.
Saints Row 3.
Batman.
Mass Effect.
The Old Republic.
Skyrim.
Call of Duty.
Maybe, I am alive?
Crap, I forgot Amalur.
If it’s any comfort, I have not got mine yet, either. I am finding it difficult to deal with incoming packages without a tracking number to F5 every few minutes.
I just want my Uncharted 3 and I will be done with it.
Okay and maybe Zelda. The rest can wait.
Tough call between Skyrim and Skyward Sword for the time being. Next year seems a bit dry to me actually, except GTAV, Diablo and maybe Old Republic.
you have my wall paper 😀
Skyrim for me, I kinder not that hyped for Uncharted 3 as I should be, My inner tight arse has grown over the year, I just dont spend much money to spend 60 dollars on Uncharted 3. Skyrim on the other hand.
Bah and the website failed to accept my post.
In a nutshell, Uncharted, MW3 (which I’m surprised hasn’t been mentioned much here. I take it as a good sign!), SKYRIM!!, Mass Effect 3, Diablo 3.
2011 still to released…
MW3, Saints Row 3, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, LEGO Harry Potter, Skyrim
2012
SSX, Hitman, Twisted Metal, Starhawk, The Last Guardian, GTA V, Mass Effect 3
Journey, Last Guardian, Mass Effect 3, Tales of Graces (and hopefully Tales of Xillia too).
Tales of anything would be amazing right now. Vesperia was fantastic. Look forward to Graces and Xilia.
Zelda, PC version of Arkham City..that’s it for unreleased games this year I suppose.
Zelda, PC version of Arkham City..that’s it for unreleased games this year I suppose.
This year: Uncharted 3 (tonight!), Skyrim, LotR: War in the North, AC:Revelations, Minecraft, The Journey, Halo CE Anniversary
Next year: Mass Effect 3, Darkness 2, Prototype 2, Bioshock Infinite, Hitman, and every game in my ‘TBC due to another new release’ pile. Still on the fence about GTA-V, as I didn’t really enjoy San Andreas (cue angry outcry from GTA fans).
There are probably others, but those are the ones that spring to mind. Sad thing is that all but Uncharted and Halo will be sitting forlorn in a corner until the start of December… uni work comes first, unfortunately.
Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, SW:TOR, Guild Wars 2, Ass:Rev, Halo CE anniversary, Halo 4.
Resistance 3 and dark souls and batman and uncharted and xenoblade and battlefield 3 I’m done. Not looking forward to anymore games coming out im sitting here looking at the amazing games on my shelf unfinished.
It has already been released but I really want to get a copy of skylanders. Hopefully it drops in price in time for Christmas.
Reading through these comments in the hope of someone jogging my memory of a game I want to play… nup, no luck.
Which is a good thing. With expectations set so low there is every chance to be pleasantly surprised by Skyrim and enjoy it. Same can be said for ME3, which I feel somewhat obliged (never a good feeling to have to play a game with I find) to play having invested so much into ME1 and ME2.
Another patch for Football Manager would be nice! PES 2012 for Wii! There we go, some new stuff to anticipate!
Call me insane, but I’m looking forward to Daytona USA.
Forgot to mention Saint’s Row 3, which is funny since like all the advertising for it gets posted on Kotaku…
tbh I never finished Morrowind or Oblivion (I ended up spending more time figuring out what mods to use than just playing the damn things) so not super interested in skyrim…
Who “finishes” an elder scrolls game? 😛
Even if someone did all the quests and literally ran out of stuff to do and had maxed out their character… all they have to do is roll a new character and go for a different race/class/playstyle and BLAMO, bunch of new stuff to do/try out. I mean it won’t be a totally different game, but playing as a Red Guard Tank character is nothing at all like playing a sneaky Argonian character or a High Elf Mage character. Then when you’re bored with that you can screw with the goofy AI and get NPCs fighting each other at random 😉
Diablo 3 and Heart of the Swarm.
Also, please don’t hit me, but Skyrim isn’t even on my watch list… I dunno why, the game just doesn’t interest me… Might pick it up when it’s $10 on Steam.
Looking forward for scientists to develop a way to compress perception of time, so that I might have some chance of actually being able to properly play all the great looking things out now and coming out in the coming weeks. :/
Skyrim. No contest.
Uncharted 3? Eh. Skyrim? Meh. I have been looking forward to The Last Guardian since before I heard of either of those games. Also, since that last trailer I’m more excited than ever about Lollipop Chainsaw.
Hmm. I don’t particularly lust for Diablo 3, or Skyrim, or CoD. If I had to pick some, some games which I think I’ll sink a lot of time into, try these…
– StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (and obviously Legacy of the Void in 2014).
– Star Wars: The Old Republic.
– Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm – Generations.
Those three games will each eat dozens, if not hundreds of my hours.
The Grinder!
…
…>_>
I guess I’m looking forward to Zelda. But otherwise not much comes to mind. Where the hell is Dementium 2 already?
Dementium 2? as in the sequel to Dementium: The Ward for DS?
Didn’t that come out awhile ago?
The big ones for me for the rest of this year are Skyrim, Arkham City (PC) and now Zelda (I’m still mad at you Mark). Next year and beyond I’m looking forward to Mass Effect 3, The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower and maybe Bioshock Infinite.
Oh, and James Mac reminded me of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning too, add that to the list
Skyrim for this year and Mass Effect 3 for next. Both games should easily have enough content AND replayability to keep me going to this time next year..
BioShock Infinite, ACRev, GTA V
Skyrim will probably to some extent define my existence for the next couple years.
Also very much looking forward to Zelda and I might be looking forward to Saints Row the Third, but I’m not positive about that yet 😛
Assassin’s Creed is making me dirty my pants in anticipation but I’m trying to ignore that because I think my brother wants to buy it for my birthday present… must… not… buy…
Max Payne 3, The Darkness 2 (if just for Mike Patton’s voice acting!) and Skyrim for now.
