It's a bit tricky to say that one person got yesterday's ScribbleTaku right, it was sort of a communal effort really — but well done regardless. The answer was Phantasy Star IV! Thanks to OXM Editor Darren Wells for sending it in!

Good luck with today's effort folks!

ScribbleTaku is Kotaku’s newest lunchtime game. We give ourselves 30 seconds to draw an old game on a sticky note, and it’s your job to guess what it is! Come back every day at noon for a new ScribbleTaku! Feel like sending one in? Shoot me an email here.

    Elevator action?

      Exactly what I thought!

How To Be A Complete Bastard.
That's one of the more obscure scribbletakus, nice job.

crotchdot, you are a machine. No, I'm serious. I think you're a more advanced version of google reverse image search that's been sent back in time to win scribble guessing competitions.

You are an animal crotchdot. There is just no stopping you. I salute your never ending knowledge.

Seriously Serrels, the way to stop being defeated by crotchdot in 5 minutes flat every day is to not draw games from pre-1990 systems so often. Clearly crotchdot's knowledge of these is encyclopedic. I'm confident that if you or Tracy had ever followed through on the "1 pixel" screenshot threat, if it was a game for the Amiga, Atari, Spectrum et al then crotchdot would get even that!

People will still get later games in 5 minutes flat, but at least you'll be beaten by other people!

I remember that game from the ol' C64 days... Being five or six years old and finding out there's a game that actually encourages you to be a bastard and annoy people? Pure gold.

As Mr Dot said the other day, we need more nintendo games as he has never owned a Nintendo system.

      Step 1. Guess Scribbletaku
      Step 2. ??????
      Step 3. Profit!

Well I was think keystone cops from the first view, but based on the above I don't think I have a chance
