One Heck Of An Easter Egg Waits For You In Borderlands 2

Warning: spoilers ahead. At a Borderlands 2 panel PAX Prime last month, Randy Pitchford teased attendees with an "accidental" glimpse of an easter egg paying homage to a super-successful indie game. Stop reading here if you don't want to get spoiled.

According to this thread on Reddit, there's a bit of Minecraft in Gearbox's hotly anticpated shooter. Screens from Borderlands 2 show a boxy customisation option in the style of Mojang's hit game, along with some very familiar enemies too. So it's in there somewhere. All you need to do is find it.

This amuses me especially because my wife and I recently discovered a Borderlands skin for Minecraft, which is just SO pretty.

It's like these games are made to complement each other. :P

Would that stop you posting here? Because non-redditors would really appreciate that. Thanks.

Exactly. After actually trying to read reddit, I no longer complain about kotaku linking stories. I don't have the time or patience to trawl through the 99.99% garbage on that site to find miniscule amount of content that doesn't suck.

Exactly. This is what drives me nuts about the complainers.

hehe. Yeah I don't read Reddit so these posts are kinda for me i guess, so valid point man.

Hahaha, yeah every time I attempt to read Reddit I end up with a headache. :P
So I very much appreciate it when Reddit things are reposted elsewhere. I get to see interesting stuff without having to brave the wilds of Reddit.

I don't mind reading reddit but that's something I do when I have time to waste, and even then I'll stick to specific subreddits like Australia or Rooster Teeth. I might venture into gif if I really have nothing better to do than waste time.

I'm certainly not checking it for gaming news at 11:30am on a weekday while I'm at work.

      Bro, do you even lift?

Go abuse 4chan culture somewhere else 'bro'.

        >greentexting on kotaku

Not a "redditor" myself so I appreciate hearing about things like this but I think it would be better to lump them all together in a daily 'Reddit Roundup' or something like that rather than having a dozen 1 paragraph posts.

Just for kicks, I thought i'd go have a look on Reddit. Found this "Today's headlines, video game style".
    I can be journalist now?
