Capcom Is Bringing DuckTales Back

Capcom announced today at its PAX East panel that it will be resurrecting the beloved DuckTales platformer. Developed by Wayforward and Capcom, DuckTales: Remastered is something of a remake based on the original Nintendo game of DuckTales.

DuckTales, originally released for the NES way back in 1989 (and later for the Game Boy), has become something of a cult classic over the years. Remembered for its solid platforming gameplay and some killer music — the Moon theme song is often brought up as one of the best game tracks of all time — DuckTales has been the object of much nostalgia.

Ohh I got all excited thinking they were bringing back the tv show. I miss Tailspin, this and Gummi Bears.

You, good sir, have exceptional taste.

    Quite enjoyed just singing along!

Same!!! What a childhood revisit, even for just.thirty seconds :D

An image of Scrooge McDuck diving into his money pit of cold coins flashes before my eyes.....classic stuff. All quite apt since this was shown on Saturday Morning Disney. :-)

classic childhood moments though I really do miss both the game and the cartoon.

Had to watch the trailer twice - closed my eyes and sang along the first time.

    *reads title*
Oh hey, I remember my friend raving about that game... *clicks*
    "Developed by Wayforward an-"

*starts video, hears that bass line. Starts to.... tear up a little??*

Hell yeah! Used to love Ducktales, Mum even used to call my brothers and I Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Shut up and take my money. I miss these classic Disney shows. and DT on NES was a brilliant game.

    Wayforward is making it?

couldn't think of a better developer to do it, looks great!

    What the hell is "derring-do"?

Bravery basically, or daring to do. Derring apparently came about from a series of misinterpretation of the old English word "durring".

    Live is like a hurricane
    Here in Duckburg

awesome!!..while on the subject of remakes they should make the Chip&Dale game as well (music was to die for as well)..and maybe Goonies??

I'm pretty sure this was the first game I ever clocked. Back when dying meant starting the game again.
Took my young hands a bit of time, but damn I loved it.

So basically we all have no choice but to buy this right?

Like, if we don't then we all rot in hell and our children will be cursed?
