Like everyone else, you’re most likely waking up to the news that Lucasarts is closing. Shame. I think one of the real tragedies of this situation, besides the job loss of course, is the work that never gets seen. I always try and imagine how that must feel, but I can’t.
So yes, Lucasarts has been shuttered by Disney. And this means that games like Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars: First Assault have been cancelled. That’s a shame. But this post does a great job of remembering the good times and the great games released by Lucasarts. It’s fair to say that Lucasarts played a massive part in helping define the tastes of a generation. Sad to see it go.
The rest? Well, let’s make it about BioShock Infinite. This is BioShock Infinite ported to wooden tables, we hope people don’t think BioShock Infinite contains a Skyrim joke, and jumping off the edge of Columbia is a beautiful thing.
