The Daily HaiTaku

Oh, some controversy in yesterday's HaiTaku -- does the word 'world' have one or two syllable? I say two (wur-uld)! Everyone else in the universe says, 'shut up Mark, you're wrong'. Regardless -- congrats to Dr Curlytek who was first to guess that, indeed, yesterday's ScribbleTaku was Alex Kidd In Miracle World.

Man, I'm all full of HaiTaku enthusiasm. This is my favourite regular by far.

Here's today's...

I eat from a bin I'm going mad with worry Office or wheelchair?

Good luck everyone!

This is HaiTaku. We write Haikus about old video games and leave it you to guess what game we're talking about. If you want to submit a Haiku feel free. Sent it here!

Hey Mark, I have no idea. But can you clarify, are we still going for the retro theme? Because HaiTaku might as well apply to any game.

Still trying to go retro. Nothing from this gen at least.

I dont know why but Double Dragon 2?

I got a double dragon vibe from it as well. I also have no idea why

    Rampage

Jackass: The Game (if there ever was one)

      There sure was!

It wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination though.

Oh, there was! Wasn't bad actually, far from great but better than Little Britain (although practically the same thing).

The "eat from a bin line" reminds me of Bioshock Infinite, but thrown off by the other lines..

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I was going to guess F.E.A.R. but the first line doesn't really fit (line 2 and 3 do).

I can't really think of too many games where you eat from a bin actually.

This one has seriously thrown me off.

I eat from a bin: Some kind of animal. Say Racoon or Cat. Maybe the main character is a feral animal.

Going mad with worry: Could be in a relation to changing into a feral animal and becoming mad. Like a werewolf or vampire.

Office or Wheelchair: WTF? May have something to do with Professor Xavier. Hes in a wheelchair and teaches mutants. Some mutants change form. Wolverine is like a feral animal! maybe this is a wolverine game?!

Bonus: Not from this gen of games. must be pre 2006. likely earlier than that tho.

I'm going to go with "X-Men, Madness in Murderworld" 1989 released on DOS, Commodore 64 and the Amiga.

I remember the weird ass office/wheelchair and eating from bins :) And I guess Haggar was worried about his daughter and decided to punch heads.

Or hobo with a shotgun... but that's a movie not a game should be though

No idea. And I thought I sucked at scribbletaku

    Surely "wheelchair" is 3 syllables?

Any true scotsman would need about 6 syllables. Wheelchair-r-r-r-r (Damn it's hard to roll your r's with text!)
