There Is A New X-Men Trailer And It's Pretty Cool.

I still think the whole time-travelling premise is a bit hokey, but I'm willing to forgive that -- Bryan Singer is back at the helm of the X-Men series and this is the guy that made one of my all-time favourite superhero movies in X-Men 2. The new trailer is... well, a trailer. But it looks pretty cool.

I do wonder about the scope of this story though. Even from the trailer I'm getting a feeling that there might be a little too much going on. I hope I'm wrong about that. I loved the X-Men reboot that was released a few years back, and I like the idea of those two universes being brought together in some way.

Looks like a lot of fun.

"I still think the whole time-travelling premise is a bit hokey..."

    It's X-Men.

Look, I'm willing to extend my suspension of disbelief to cover Jean-Luc Picard fighting Gandalf, Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman reprising their roles from Swordfish pretty much verbatim except John Travolta has blue skin now and can transform (what do you mean that's not John Travolta?), and Vinnie Jones as the Juggernaut (which was actually genius casting that was 100% wasted), but you bring time travel into the mix? from (probably) Marvel's most famous time travel story? You're pushing your luck.

I would have said the hokeyness was part of XMen's charm

Don't want any of those staples of sci-fi/fantasy getting in the way of my sci-fi/fantasy.

NNNOOO!!! "The uploader has not made this video available in your country"... :(

Looks like some of that cool young dude casting has carried over from the last one. Exhibit A at 1:10 - such a cool dude, complete with goggles, cool dude hair, and a pink floyd shirt

I'm more curious about the guy next to him cocooned in duct tape.

That's probably Quicksilver? Silver Jacket, goggles for speed(though they are Cannonball kind of goggles), and that much duct tape on the guy next to him seems inefficient unless you have time to kill.
