While The Forest hasn’t been in early access for very long, players already have lots to say about the hot new survival horror game that’s tearing up the Steam charts. Turns out, despite the mystery and occasional gruesomeness, there’s also a lot of hilarity to be found in The Forest.

While Steam reviews might not give you the most in-depth look at a game, they still manage to capture some of the spirit. At the very least, they might make you look at a game differently. And sometimes, lets be real, Steam reviews are just plain ridiculous. All of this combined is exactly what makes them so great.
Let’s take a gander at how people are reviewing The Forest on Steam, shall we?
You can read more The Forest steam reviews here, or check out our previous steam review highlights here.
Bonus! The things people are sharing on The Forest’s community hub is pretty great too:

Best review I’ve seen on steam, or anything for that matter: ‘Naked man took my child. 11/10’.
I don’t wish to complain (alright, I do), but is this Patricia’s new thing? Find a game, screencap user reviews and voila, I can haz clickthroughs plz?
Well, I clicked through to make this comment, so joke’s on me I suppose….
I don’t mind. It’s pretty funny and I don’t have to go through tons of rubbish to find a bit gold myself. It’s all been sorted and presented right here. I’m looking forward to more, though in time a change will need to occur. For now let the lols go on.
Just a warning.
I recommend not playing this game just yet.
It’s good but not worth it at the moment, you can watch a 2 minute game play video and pretty much experience everything that there is to do in the game.
I made the mistake of thinking that I could do things differently from what was already done in the video/s but nope, there is currently not much to do just yet – here are some things I found out.
– Only a small potion of the island is available, there are invisible walls blocking off most of it with a message saying it’s not available due to alpha etc…
– You can duplicate items with out even trying, I accidentally found this out by trying to organize my inventory.
– The ‘mutants’ spawn out of thin air which I found to be pretty annoying and disappointing when I saw it happening.
– Can’t skip the plane scene so every time you play you have to watch it.
– No saving (yet) hence the plane scene again. ^
– Very buggy but expected due to alpha
Right now I recommend not playing this until a more full enjoyable release it out, I found that since I noticed all the little glitches and how things work it kinda took away that ‘wow’ factor for me, especially how mutants just spawn anywhere out of no where.
Buy the game, but save playing it for a later date 🙂

Getting sick of these shitty steam reviews.
Especially when everyone of them is the exact same shit.
>I did this retarded thing. 11.52456467468 / 10
Getting sick of these shitty Kotaku comments.
Especially when every one of them is the exact same shit.
>Getting sick of this thing on this website I keep looking at. I’ll keep looking though.
Or you could piss of and let me complain in peace.
Also interpretation and context is important, I said STEAM reviews, no mention of Kotaku at all. Retard.
