Remember there was a period of time where there was a Steam sale or a Humble Store sale every other week?
Seems like it’s been a while since we’ve had a chance to spend money we can’t afford on games we probably won’t play. But fret not! It’s time to go broke again!
A lot of good deals to be found. Here are a few that jumped out at me.
Bandai Namco
Dark Souls II is 50% off at US$19.99
Dark Souls is 75% off at US$4.99
Project Cars is 60% off at US$27.98
Square Enix
I don’t even know where to begin here. Let’s just say that…
Every Tomb Raider game is on sale.
Every Hitman game is on sale.
Every Deus Ex game is on sale.
Every Thief game is on sale.
Every Kane & Lynch game is on sale.
Codemasters
A ton of Dirt and Grid games are all on sale.
Star Wars
As part of the whole May The Fourth Be With You thing, there’s also a sale on a large number of Star Wars games.
Knights of the Old Republic is 75% off at US$2.49
Dark Forces is 75% off at US$1.49
There’s a really cool X-Wing bundle as well.
Also…
There’s a lot of quality indie games on sale.
Like…
Outlast is 75% off at US$4.99
Big Pharma is 50% off at US$12.49
The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter is 70% off at US$5.99
Satellite Reign is 50% off at US$14.99
Overall there is just a lot of cool stuff in this sale. Check it out.

Maybe I need to lower my expectations. I look at everything for $4.99 and I go, “Nope. Too much.” I look at everything $1.74 and I check my Steam library to see if I already have it.
Sales have turned me into a beast that demands I walk away with a ton of swag for under $20. This just isn’t cutting the BJ mustard.
PHRASING
(it’s Friday -_-)
A person after my own heart, anything more than $5 is an iffy prospect, anything on sale for less than 80% off is equally iffy. I’m pretty damn stingy, but even I can see that my expectations are ridiculous.
I picked up pretty much all of those Enix games in their bundle, and only realised I hadn’t used any of the codes last night… I need to get on that.
Also, I have never played a souls game, but I may do this weekend. I assume you start with the first?
No, you don’t. Go nuts, but understand that there are some caveats to playing either of the first two now.
Personally I’d say start with Dark Souls 2 or 3 just due to way the game presents itself graphics and control wise. Dark Souls 1 is a gem but I feel if some one would need to be invested into the Dark Souls universe to go back and play it due to the way it has aged.
I found that 2 was a great game, but it lost some of the magic of the first game.
DS2:SotFS for $20USD as opposed to Steams $55USD? About time.
Enslaved is also $5 and well worth it.
Every Tomb Raider game on sale, except Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Does that version of Project Cars work with the DK2?
Hmm… Dirt Rally is a good price.
Too bad I already have it.
Totally worth it if you don’t already have it.
