Wrestling’s Top Gamers Throw Down At CEO 2016

In one corner, playing Birdie, we have the WWE’s ultimate gamer, Xavier Woods. His opponent, controlling Alex, is New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar, Kenny Omega. The pair faced off yesterday at CEO 2016 to determine, once and for all, who would win this particular exhibition match.

Both Woods and Omega are known for their gaming prowess, but only one can claim the crown of wrestling’s ultimate gamer. Luckily no such crown actually exists, so their ongoing rivalry is more of a friendly thing, even if Xavier tends to go a bit overboard with the taunting. Chair dancing? That’s just unsportsmanlike. Chair dancers never win.

Or do they?

Nope, at least not in Street Fighter V. Later they faced off in another game, one that chair dancers particularly excel at.

I love these guys. Xavier Woods is going to be down the street from me next month, hosting a Street Fighter V tournament at our local gaming eatery, Battle & Brew. Maybe I’ll challenge him to a game of ‘watch me eat a sandwich while you play Street Fighter V.’
