Battlefleet Gothic: Armada Is Getting A Sequel This Year

The original Battlefleet Gothic: Armada was a very decent Warhammer 40,000 game, so it’s nice to know that we’ll get a sequel later this year.

Made by the same developers as the original, BGA2 will feature 12 factions from the original game. It’ll also use Warhammer 40,000‘s 8th edition story as the basis for the plot, which focuses on the advancement of the 13th Black Crusade.

In other words, expect a lot of demon summoning, a few demon world transformations, and the rise of a new Primarch. Here’s the reveal trailer to set the scene.

Battlefield Gothic: Armada 2 is due out for PC some time this year.

  • Looks like Necrons and Tyranids are coming which is pretty cool (don’t think either of them were in the first). I noticed they included the Ynnari in the trailer too, curious how that’ll fit into a game like this.

Reposting because of edit bug :/

  • “Rise of a ‘new’ Primarch”. The writer of this article might need to actually go into a warhammer store sometime and learn some canon. There were only 20 Primarchs made. 2 of which never survived their test tube. And the Emperor who made them is now a skeleton on a throne. If a new primarch is introduced I’ll quit warhammer
