Don’t Lend Strangers Your Game Handhelds, Kids!

On May 12, a 10-year-old student in Kochi City and her friend were playing with her Nintendo game portable along the city’s waterway. A 23-year-old man named Akira Nakamura appeared and said, “Let me see your game machine.”

According to Yomiuri Online, the girl lent her handheld and two games to the unemployed Nakamura. He promptly split with the game machine and games. He sold one of the game’s at a Kochi City game shop, leading to his arrest.

Hey 10-year-old kids reading Kotaku, here’s a piece of advice: Don’t read Kotaku, it’s not for kids! Another piece of advice: Don’t lend your Nintendo handhelds to strangers. Sony ones, sure, but not Nintendo.
