The practice of decorating graduation caps is often seen as a rite of passage for incoming graduates of universities and (now, increasingly) high schools in the US. Students often spend months contemplating what they will include on their graduation caps on graduation day.
This year, many chose to adorn their caps with inspiring quotes, memes and song lyrics. Others chose to incorporate elements from games that they love or find inspiring. Here are some of the stand-out gamer grad caps from this year's graduating class.
Last week, I realised I have a problem. I'd just finished browsing the Nintendo Switch's entire eShop for a second time in search of a new game. That's a weird thing to do, especially considering that I still haven't finished Breath of the Wild. I should finish it, but I can't bring myself to do it. Hours and hours and hours later, I'm bored.

Undertale's stigma as a toxic fandom arose after incidents involving harassed YouTubers, pornography, and fans who plastered the internet with in-game jokes. Over time, a game that started out as heartwarming and loveable gained infamy for supposedly having one of the worst fandoms on the internet. Undertale's descent into online infamy was largely due to the pervasive thought that there was only one way to play the game.
Were you enjoying the lull in game releases over the last month or so? Well, I have good (or bad, depending how big your Pile of Shame) news. It's over. Well and truly over.
Take this week as an example. There's the console release of Sonic Mania. StarCraft: Remastered finally launches. There's the Nidhogg sequel. Night Trap is back. Undertale is getting a console launch, as is Conan Exiles and Tokyo 42. Strap in, it's getting busy.
Hit indie RPG Undertale, for the longest time available only on PC, is finally making its way to other platforms, with PS4 and Vita versions announced by Sony today.
Knuckle Sandwich is an RPG about day jobs and cults caught somewhere between Earthbound and Undertale. Need I say more?
Most of the games I feature here on Fine Art tend to be big, beautiful, AAA extravaganzas. Today, though, will be a reminder that no matter how simple or retro a game's visuals may be, someone still had to go and design all of its stages and characters.
