Tonight On Good Game

If you can tear yourself away from all that Black Ops online you’ve been playing – you may remember that it’s Monday. Which means of course – Good Game tonight!

- Yes, we too have been absolutely buried in Call of Duty: Black Ops, so we’ll bring you all our thoughts – but no spoilers, we promise.

- Quite possibly the best racing game we’ve ever played... Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Spectacular crashes in this one.

- Annnd we’ll take a look at the GoldenEye 007 reboot for the Wii.

Catch Good Game Monday nights on ABC2 @ 8:30pm – and now also Good Game: Spawn Point (especially for younger gamers) on Saturday nights on ABC3 @ 7:25pm.

Watch any episode at www.abc.net.au/goodgame

Or if you miss them, watch higher quality versions on ABC’s iView service.

Also, Baj and I try to “live tweet” the show each week – follow us at @hexsteph and @bajopants with hashtag #ggtv and join-in the twitter-spam madness.

Til next week, Hex

nice recent cast picture there Kotaku, haha

Maybe Hex has gone blonde again - can only hope, it suits her better.

Hey its that Chaser guy on the pic!

Is ABC going to review the PC version of Black Ops as well?

      do pigs fly?

If said pig is in a trebuchet, then yes.. yes they do

Actually, they are.. Bajo has been playing it on PC all week. It's amazing I know, for once a developer gave them a PC copy.

I wonder if he copped the issues that many were having trouble with.

    Marry me, Hex! <3 you

Quite a few reviews I want to check out on tonights show (all). I still find it funny they still say "Or if you miss them, watch higher quality versions on ABC’s iView service." PS3 users will know what I mean.

    Bring back Jung!!

    lol

Hang on. So Good Game isn't respected enough to warrant a copy of Black Ops for review.

And also isn't respected enough to warrant a review version of Need for Speed that includes multiplayer. Therefore Bajo gives them both "conditional" review scores. Pathetic.

What a load of crap. Get yourselves some sort of proper cred, then you might be given a proper version of the game to actually review.

Seriously, you've been doing ok lately, but this was the most useless episode ever. Anyone could have put this together from a bunch of video reviews from other outlets that have been provided with proper versions of the games, embargo or no.

And I love how Bajo claims that because he was a Sega boy he never really played Goldeneye 64. What the hell were you playing at that time then Bajo? Panzer Dragoon on the Saturn? Loser. You have a fat arse.

@Tom I'm not sure you understand how review code works in this industry. It's got nothing to do with a lack of respect for Good Game, or any other outlet. It's very common for review code to be released to the gaming press with something like multiplayer disabled, because the reviews are being conducted BEFORE release, hence there is NO ONE online on any of the servers to test multiplayer with. Hell, the servers aren't even up yet.
If you understood how TV production works, then you would also realise that they are not recording these reviews on the day the show goes to air. They would be pre-taping at least a week earlier, so you can't compare what a website has put up that DAY to something that was taped a week or so earlier when servers are not running etc.
And what's wrong with Panzer Dragoon? It was actually bloody good at the time.
