You Can Totally Summon Mario, Link And Bowser In The New Scribblenauts

I remember when Scribblenauts was first shown at E3 and it was many people’s actual game of show. For real. I remember being genuinely hyped for the game when it arrived in my then office. It was one of the first DS games that genuinely had everyone gathered around the small DS screen — shouting out things to scribble and summon. Before the weaknesses of the game itself came to the fore, Scribblenauts was this truly incredible thing.

The enthusiasm for the concept has sort of faded now, and no matter how many different caveats and additions the development team bring to the Scribblenauts series, it’s tough to make people enthusiastic about the game in the same way.

So why not just bring Mario into the equation!

In Scribblenauts Unlimited you have the ability to actually summon Mario, Link, Bowser and god knows how many other Nintendo characters to solve problems, as the above videos demonstrate.

It’s a pretty cool idea considering the game is one of the Wii U’s launch titles.
