Mortal Kombat Gets An Official Release Date In Australia

We thought we had a release date for Mortal Kombat, based on retail listings, but now Warner Bros has revealed the official date, and the game is actually hitting stores in Australia earlier than we initially thought.

An Electronics Boutique pre-order page initially had the date as May 29, but the actual date is four weeks earlier on May 1.

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is also cheaper than you might expect, set at a recommended retail price of $39.95, which is a pretty decent bargain. Speaking to Warner Bros locally, they informed us that the goal is to bring as many Mortal Kombat fans into the fold as possible. They also seemed aware that, as well received as the game initially was, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is a two year old game. Charging the full RRP probably wouldn’t have been the best course of action in that regard.

Although I suspect a good many fans already have a copy of this game, it’s great that Warner Bros persisted in officially bringing Mortal Kombat to Australia despite so many previous set backs.
