Fine Art: The Same People Worked On The Xbox One And PlayStation Commercials

The guys at Blur aren’t the only studio making top-shelf commercials for the video game business. The team at visual effects outfit The Mill have worked on loads of them as well, including some of this year’s best and most prominent.

The video below is the studio’s showreel for the year, and while it contains footage from non-game ads, you’ll also see glimpses from their work on commercials for the Xbox One, XCOM, Need For Speed, Pikmin, PlayStation and Call of Duty.

Yup, you read that right. You know the Xbox One’s big “Invitation/” TV spot? And PlayStation’s “Greatness Awaits” live-action series? The effects were done by the same post production company. Nice to see at least someone can bridge the divide!

You can see more of The Mill’s VFX work at their company site.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios.
