I can’t remember the last time I racked up 100 hours on a single player game, but I have hit that milestone with Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I’m finding it extremely difficult to stop playing this video game.
But I have a few things on my list.
Hollow Knight, What Remains Of Edith Finch, Snipper Clippers. Those are a few of the games I’m keen to play. As soon as I can convince myself to stop with the high adventure in Hyrule.
What are you playing this weekend?

Concur Mark,
Young bloke’s 5th birthday today so he’s getting MK8 for some rainy day fun. Other than that it’ll be Zelda, Zelda and more Zelda… maybe some Div: OS to scratch my crpg itch.
Gonna try and play the Lawbreakers beta.
I’ll be checking out Persona 5 but also maybe having a few rounds of Puyo Tetris. I’m also trying to actually finish Oreshika (gave up years ago because of the final boss) so there’ll be some of that too most likely.
Puyo Tetris is way too much fun.
I get to spend most of Saturday on a bus so that I can play a 40 minute gig (musician life hurrah!). So it will be Zelda on the Switch for me.
On call, so potential for interruption is high. Recently purchased a 1080ti FE to replace my old 290X – blocked it and put it in my loop on Tuesday night. Switched everything back over to my trusty 3930K as well. Probably do a bit of tuning and tweaking on that.
I’ll be continuing with FFXIV, resubbed a week or two back, and am catching up in preparation for Stormblood. Levelling gathering classes, so Netflix usage is likely.
Any time not FFXIV’ing will probably be allocated to Minecraft or Puyo Puyo Tetris on Switch.
Finished Mafia II on PS3 the other day (what a cliffhanger!)
Still ploughing through Heavenly Sword (also PS3) and starting to appreciate it a bit more now. I was getting frustrated with the boss fights, lots of attacks that were difficult to block and long sequences of QT events, but having played a bit more, I’m loving Kai’s adventure more than Nariko’s. The sixaxis control for arrows is sweet! Also, Kai is pretty hilarious (tragic but hilarious).
Started up Watch Dogs on PS4. It’s a bit meh so far but I’m seeing the possibilities for hacking stuff. Maybe it’ll click when I get a bit further in.
Still grinding away at Moe Chronicle on Vita.
Mafia 2 was great
Watch Dogs was meh, ok but had potential. Enjoyed the second one more.
The only thing I didn’t really like about Mafia II was the unreliable cover system and the fact that a shotgun could insta-gib you from off-screen before you could react. Thankfully only a couple of instances where that happened.
Otherwise, great fun! The music particularly.
Have you looked at 3 yet? I’m tempted but not sure.
Nah, I’ve got a huge backlog and for me, the Empire Bay setting and period was what made it special. I’ll probably play Mafia III after the PS5 comes out…lol
Injustice 2
Injustice 2
Injustice 2
Chroma Squad
Injustice 2
Watch_Dogs 2, picked it up at JB for $30 on PS4, it’s not bad. Much better than the first game.
Far Cry 3 this weekend!
I’m doing this thing where I’m not buying any new games until I’ve finished with what I have, which is 120 games, which will take a while, but there’s a fair few gems in the pile. Far Cry 3 is pretty good actually! Even if the tower climbing is bad (in 2017 anyway – weird to think people loved it 5 years ago.)
Good on you for taking a stand! I’m trying to do the same thing, but I make exceptions for games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Persona 5… and for games that are deeply discounted… I’m a terrible person.
Gotta admit, even a week in, I’m looking at that Destiny 2 stuff and thinking “that looks so good!…. I’m not going to be playing that for about 10 years” >.
Ha ha! I know that feelin’….
I’m going to be playing Defender on the Atari 800 for a world record attempt.
Hope my hands can take the punishment dished out by the Atari joysticks, it will take around 16 hours to beat the current record. I see some major blisters in my immediate future.
Godspeed, gentle sir!
Prey, Fallout 4 and Lego: Lord of the Rings probably.
Might replay through Lego: Marvel Superheroes coz I’m hyped about the news of the second one being announced!
im done with BOTW for now i think, have had 2 play throughs (wii u and switch) about ~35-40 hours in each. Going to start horizon zero dawn this weekend if i find time
How is the Wii-U version compared to the Switch?
Honestly, no noticeable difference. Both versions are beautiful and great to play. If a Wii U is all you have, go for it.
Blood & Wine DLC for Witcher 3, really enjoyed Heart of Stone so hopefully it’s as good as it was.
Am thinking about starting Hearts of Stone soon, but I haven’t played Witcher 3 for a long while. Should I be OK just launching into the DLC from a late-game save file? Or would you recommend doing a clean play-through?
Didn’t touch Witcher 3 for a year before getting the dlc. You’ll be fine. The controls are pretty instinctive.
Just finished horizon and started Zelda and yep it’s darn good. Prey, dishonored 2, doom and mass effect andromeda are going to have to wait a bit longer. Sooooo much good gaming to be had
Been having a hell of a selection lately: CS:GO, Rocket League, Darksiders 2, State of Decay, Lost Planet, Don’t Starve.
Figure I’ll play at least one of them.
Has Been Heroes. 70 hours played and I’m still keen.
Maybe get Thumper for Switch.
Maybe I’ll get back into Witcher 3.
Zelda on Switch. Will also try some Injustice 2 on PS4.
I’m gonna finish off Lego Marvel’s Avengers (close to 100% achievements.)
Not quite sure after that. I have so much to play now! Perhaps some more of The Witness. Especially since it now supports Ansel. Might get in and make some fancy screenshots/360 views.
Also Quake Champions 😀
Same thing i do every weekend. Try and talk my wife into letting me buy her a Switch.
Otherwise persona, persona and more persona.
FE Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
