Here’s the new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, which stars a new character named Arthur Morgan and is set before the events of the first game, as has been rumoured.
In the trailer — which, as you might expect from Rockstar, looks wonderful — we get our first glimpse at young(er) Dutch and his merry band of outlaws, which includes the new protagonist. Dutch, as you may recall, is the leader of a gang including Red Dead Redemption protagonist John Marston and the man he was chasing, Bill Williamson. It’s safe to say that we’ll see both John and Bill in Red Dead 2.
There’s no release date, but Rockstar says Red Dead 2 is still planned for autumn next year Australian time.
“The all-new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive. Coming Spring 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.”

Maybe it’s all a fake out and John kills him at the end of the 3 hour tutorial at the start of the game.

I dont know if it was because I was half asleep when I watched it, but I thought that Arthur Morgan was a bit of a douche’ in the trailer. Was kinda hoping that he wasn’t going to be the main protagonist, and it was a ruse!
Hmm..Not much of a fan of Arthur Morgan. Also the voice doesn’t match his face.
I take it you will be switching between the 3 characters featured in the top screen shot of this article?.
God I hope not. I mean as much as it was a novelty in GTA V, it REALLY impacted the storyline and character development. Not one of the GTA V characters was as well developed as Marston, Niko Bellic, CJ or Tommy Vercetti. They were fun characters, but not exactly deep, but that’s what comes with diving the script down between the three of them.
whilst disjointed, it still was nice to switch between the characters to give a fresher perspective
Trevors development was probably the strongest of the lot.

they said Q2 2018? should have until at least christmas next year.
Also wonder how they will implement multiplayer?
It was originally meant to be Q3 this year, so Q2 next year is a decent enough wait. Multiplayer will be a far more primitive version of GTA Online, I bet you. I think I’m actually afraid in a way it’ll turn into the joke GTA Online has…
Multiplayer in the 1st RDR game was awesome, so am hoping that it’s at least the same in RDR 2!
Is it wrong that I was a little underwhelmed by that? Arthur Morgan isn’t the sort of character I really want to play as, so I hope that he isn’t the main protagonist.
