Just like its antagonists, Telltale’s The Walking Dead isn’t the freshest game out there, but that has little bearing on its quality. Which is excellent. And for the rest of today, you can pick up all five episodes of Telltale’s undead adventure title for zero dollars from the Humble Store.
At the time of writing, 15 hours remain on the offer, after which it’ll return to full price. The complete season usually retails for $US25, but if you add it to your account now, you’ll be sent a redeemable Steam key for the Windows and Mac versions of the game.
If you’re not sure how the game fits in with the larger narrative, it’s a prequel of sorts. Here’s the official description:
Play as Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, who has been given a second chance at life in a world devastated by the undead. With corpses returning to life and survivors stopping at nothing to maintain their own safety, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world gone to hell.
Even if your interest in the comic, show or game is measurable in slivers, it’s hard not to have a go when entry is free.
