This Week In Games: The Chronicles Of Life

The silly season rolls on. While there’s no major platform exclusive, there’s plenty of highlights: the Life is Strange sequel lands, football fans get another story mode to explore in FIFA 19, Ultimate Chicken Horse gets pride of place on the Switch, and Valkyria Chronicles 4 officially drops. There’s also a new Pathfinder game, which is fun.

  • Valkyria Chronicles 4 (PC, PS4, XBO, Switch)
  • Pathfinder Kingmaker (PC)
  • V-Rally 4 (PC, PS4, XBO)
  • LET IT DIE (PC)

Right, time for the trailer dump. Let’s start with Pathfinder Kingmaker, since there’s been a bit less chatter about that.

Interesting, although visually it does look a fraction flat. Let’s move to the major Aussie games this week: Armello and Think of the Children, both of which are hitting the Switch.

Armello on the Switch is looking awfully like what I imagined the mobile experience would eventually be, so that’s neat. Let’s carry on with the rest:

Some of the facial animations look a bit janky, but the story is what I always enjoyed from the NBA 2K series. Be fun to see this week how the three stories in FIFA play out.

See anything you like this week?
